Welcome back returing campers and hello to new campers - we can't wait to see you this summer! Whether you​​ are interested in archaeology, nature, history or just getting outdoors and having fun, we have something for you. Registration for 2025 camps begins in February. Survival Camp (rising 6th to rising 8th graders)

June 23-27, 9am-4pm

Are you an outdoors enthusiast? Do you watch survival shows and get excited to play outside? If so, then survival camp is the camp for you. During the camp we will learn about all sorts of topics including botany, building fires, first aid, building shelters, orienteering, outdoor cooking and much more! Pre-registration is required.  Fee $150, Friends $135.

Imagine If Camp – Morning Session (rising kindergarteners and 1st graders)

June 30-July 3, 9am-12pm

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be someone or even something else? Imagine if you could try out being someone new each day? Open up your mind and bring your imagination to life! It all begins with the words, “Imagine if….” at JPPM. Pre-registration is required. Fee $50, Friends $45.

Archaeology Camp (rising 6th to rising 8th graders)

July 7-11, 9am-4pm

From mummies to modern Maryland, come learn all about archaeology in this hands-on camp. Campers will learn about the steps of archaeology, investigate archaeological sites from around the world, and work with archaeologists in the field. Join us as we dig into fun and history. Pre-registration is required. Fee $150, Friends $135.

Native Skills Camp (rising 2nd and rising 3rd graders)

July 14-18, 9am-3pm

During this camp we will make shelters and learn about different native tools such as rabbit sticks, bows, fire drills, and pottery. Campers will also learn about, and try, a variety of cooking methods including boiling water without a pot, baking without an oven, and how to make the perfect s’more. Pre-registration is required. Fee $150, Friends $135.

Full STEAM Ahead Camp (rising 2nd and rising 3rd graders)

July 21-25, 9am-3pm

Toot toot! Full STEAM ahead! Have you ever wondered how we interact with the forces of nature around us? What makes the waves and tides in the river? How does wind power a boat or how do planes fly? How do we prepare to blast off to the stars? Join us for this new and exciting STEAM camp where we will explore the different forces that make our world move! Pre-registration is required. Fee $150, Friends $135.

Hands-on History Camp (rising 4th and rising 5th graders)

July 28 – August 1, 9am-4pm

Discover how art, science and history help us interpret the past. Each day will be a different adventure as you explore and investigate the history and archaeology of Southern Maryland. Learn about the daily lives of Native Americans and Colonists, who lived here centuries ago. Pre-registration is required. Fee $150, Friends $135.
