​Jefferson Patterson may have been a “gentleman farmer,” but he was also very concerned with the management of the abundant natural resources of Point Farm.  It’s a practice that didn’t begin with him; the Native Americans who inhabited this property certainly had strong ties to the many ecosystems that supported their communities. It also didn’t end with him. Today, JPPM strives to practice good stewardship and to educate others about how to do so as well.
