Resource Management


Jefferson Patterson may have been a “gentleman farmer,” but he was also very concerned with the management of the abundant natural resources of Point Farm.  It’s a practice that didn’t begin with him; the Native Americans who inhabited this property certainly had strong ties to the many ecosystems that supported their communities. It also didn’t end with him. Today, JPPM strives to practice good stewardship and to educate others about how to do so as well.

JPPM has been and continues to be, involved with several environmental research projects, both on the landscape and in the surrounding waterways.  Check out the links below to see some of the data that has been collected here throughout the years.
