​​​Patterson Maintenance Technician, Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum

This position will provide building maintenance and custodial services and refuse disposal for office areas, public buildings, rest rooms, and picnic areas at Jefferson Patterson Park, with a focus on the Patterson Center. This position will provide set-up and support for public events and private rentals. This position will monitor facilities during daily operations, rentals, and events to ensure that JPPM policies are being followed and to ensure the safety and security of the site.

This position will also perform maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, tools, equipment, vehicles, and tractors. This position provides facility-wide support in all areas mentioned above in order to ensure the JPPM staff have an adequate and safe working environment in which to meet the mission of MDP and JPPM.

​​​​Internships

JPPM partners with local colleges and universities to provide intern opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students. Students will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience in fields such as archaeology, curation, museum management, historic preservation and archaeological conservation. Internship opportunities will be posted as they become available.
